What exactly is a “God story”? A “God story” is an example of when you felt God’s presence in your life. It could be a significant as a major change in your plans for your life, or as small as a conversation with the right person at the right moment.
In Acts 26, Paul tells his own “God story” to King Herod Agrippa, saying how he persecuted Christians until one day as he was traveling to Damascus he “…saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’ (Acts 26:13–14 NIV). Paul was then reborn as a believer, and a missionary sent to spread the Good News.
In Matthew 28:19 Jesus tells his apostles to go and tell His story, and make disciples of all nations. If you have a God story you would like to share, please e-mail BrookHill@bhumc.org.
