Brook Hill UMC and World Vision 30-Hour Famine

We don’t think it’s right — so the Brook Hill Youth Group is doing something about it through World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine!

Our youth will go without food for 30 hours, that’s a big deal for teens! Our famine will take place Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. to Saturday, May 4 at 4 p.m.

Our goal is to raise $2,800. This will feed 70 children for one month! Just $40 will help feed and care for a child for a month!

How the Famine Works

• Youth learn the truth about global hunger, and discover what God wants us all to do about it.
• We raise funds to fight hunger (that’s where YOU come in).
• We grow closer to God and each other as we fast for 30 hours.
• Lives are changed because of the money we’ve raised!

How Can You Help?

• Go to the Brook Hill Youth 30 Hour Famine website or pick up a donation card on the Connect Wall.
• Pray for us and those we are fasting for.
• Fast with us.
• Help us break our fast by donating desserts or drinks for our dinner (see Kathleen Rogers for more info)
• Share the fundraiser on your Facebook page and with friends!

This is your chance to encourage a youth in their walk with God and their ability to make a difference in the world. It’s also your opportunity to respond to God’s heart for the poor. Plus, your tax-deductible donation goes a long way. Gifts of ANY amount are welcome!
