Brook Hill Weekday Preschool is honoring the late Mrs. Linda Harbaugh by renaming their scholarship fund the Linda Harbaugh Scholarship Fund.
Each year, the Weekday Preschool offers tuition assistance to families in the community who have financial needs. Preschool is important in order to prepare children for attending elementary school. The Weekday Preschool wants to make sure there isn’t a financial barrier that would discourage a family from enrolling their child.
Honoring a Wonderful Teacher
Linda Harbaugh taught for over 30 years and greatly impacted the lives of many children, teachers, and families. Early childhood education was Linda’s calling, and she answered that call with love, patience, talent, and fun.
Linda mentored several beginning teachers through the years. She guided them in developing their skills in working with children and parents. She had a joy for teaching and shared that willingly with others. Her lessons will be remembered and carried on.
In addition to teaching, Linda served on the Weekday Preschool Executive Committee for 7 years, where she used her knowledge of early childhood education and her perspective on teaching to help guide and support the Committee. We were all blessed to know her.
