Ephesians 4:11: “Christ chose some of us to be apostles, prophets, missionaries, pastors, and teachers” (CEV)There is a place for all of us to serve God. At Brook Hill, several opportunities exist. Teamwork and many hands make the work light. We are praying that numerous people step forward to serve in these roles so a monthly rotation schedule can be created.If any of the following role(s) speak to you, please email the front office at brookhill@bhumc.org to learn more.

People-Focused Roles

  • Greeters at both Sunday worship services; youth are invited to serve in this capacity.
    • Must arrive at least 20 minutes before worship begins
    • Smiling faces and kindness are the only requirement
  • Ushers at both Sunday worship services; youth are invited to serve in this capacity.
    • Must arrive at least 20 minutes before worship begins
    • Smiling faces and kindness are the only requirement
  • Assistant with the children and youth ministry. Roles and schedules vary.
    • Background check and Safe Sanctuary training are required.
  • Hospitality. Servants visit those homebound or in the hospital.
    • Must be able to transport yourself to the care recipient’s home or hospital
    • Dates of visit and locations vary

Administrative Roles

  • Front office help. Serve as backup for when Lisa MacPhee is out of the office.
    • Answer phone, greet, and direct visitors, and work on mailing/marketing projects as needed
  • Kitchen Manager. Monitor supplies after events, purge expired food regularly.
    • Previous familiarity with the kitchen is not a prerequisite
    • Commitment is about two hours a month
  • Fellowship Coordinator. Coordinate a team of servants to donate baked goods, and set up coffee/drinks for fellowship following the services.
