I received a book as a gift from a friend, “When God Winks” by Squire Rushnell.

In it, he talks about little coincidences in life that aren’t really coincidences but nudges from God that put you in the right direction. I thought of my own situation.

Last February, I had trouble breathing. I went to the hospital for a 45-minute appointment to remove fluid from around my right lung. While I was there, they discovered that my heart was beating erratically. I was in the hospital for a week with congestive heart failure. A God “wink” saved my life.

In May, I experienced a lot of weight gain and couldn’t get rid of it. Another trip to the E.R. While taking x-rays of my kidneys, the doctors found a malignant tumor on my spine that is fast-growing and could have killed me in two to four months. They started chemo right away. Another God “wink!”
