Ryan and Lena Mabe: May 2026
From their most recent newsletter:
“Later that week on the 20th, we attended service again with the mission team at Iglesia Bautista Manatial de Vida in Tonala with Pastor Ortilio. There were many who came to the alter for prayer and a blessing that we saw during this service was with a boy we had already met name Neyvin. Neyvin was one of the first young men we met with Daniela and the special needs ministry. The Monday before we left for the states Daniela had sent us a picture of him being baptized in the river and on the 20th, we were able to witness him worshipping the Lord during the service. This was blessing to see how God is working in his life.” Read more [PDF].

Kyle and Corrie Werts: January 8, 2026
Aloha friends and family, Happy New Year! Blessings to your family in 2026! We’d like to share some exciting changes coming to our ministry and family this year!
As many of you know, we have served with YWAM for 13 years while being part of a ministry community within it called Fire & Fragrance (FF). Over time, FF has grown rapidly around the world, and its structure and scope have expanded beyond what it originally was inside YWAM.
In October, YWAM Kona leadership announced several upcoming changes regarding the future of training on the campus in Kona, along with some significant structural shifts. These changes primarily affected Fire & Fragrance and initiated a season of prayer, discernment, and honest conversation about what God was asking of the movement.
In response, Fire & Fragrance entered a dedicated process of seeking the Lord. Over several months, through prayer, fasting, prophetic dreams, strategic planning, and input from trusted outside elders (non-YWAM), the FF leadership team sensed the Lord clearly calling them to step out and become their own organization for the next season of ministry.
Part of that direction included a strong sense — confirmed through multiple dreams and counsel — that FF was to plant a new base in Charlotte, North Carolina, to serve as a fresh hub for community, training, and global sending.
This decision was made with humility and honor. While it is naturally bittersweet for YWAM to send out people they have walked with for many years, they have blessed FF as they step into what they believe God is asking. We remain deeply grateful for YWAM and will continue in strong relationship with leaders and friends there. This transition simply marks a new chapter in how both ministries pursue what God has called them to do.

From their most recent newsletter:
- On Monday 1/19 we are hosting 39 student leaders at our house for training! Please pray for God to give them a deep passion for making discipleship, and skills for the ministry of discipleship. It is so exciting to have such a large team of laborers!
- The whole first week of classes we’ll be trying to meet new students through outreach tables. Please pray for God to give students spiritual curiosity and hunger for His Word, drawing them to Himself. Pray that they would say YES when invited to learn more about DCF or join a Bible study!
- Please pray for salvations this Spring semester. Pray for revival on our campuses!
- Please pray for God to provide our staff & student leaders energy for this new semester. Pray also for God to give protection against spiritual attacks, and to keep our joy and focus on Jesus.
